Okay, I have to admit to being a little disappointed. I had hoped that more than one person would take me up on my challenge.
When one gets enthused about something, something that really really fires them up, I think it’s easy for them to lose sight that not everyone is as excited as they are. I suppose that’s what happened here. At this point in my life, walking is what fires me up. It did once before, and it did good things for me then. Maybe it will now. And maybe, in 6 months, walking will just be a distant memory.
In the end, the only person I can really challenge is myself.
So I’m withdrawing my challenge. (And Tony, I’d be honored if you’d still join me in my walking. We’ll keep the challenge just between the two of us!
I’ve set myself two challenges. The first is to walk 500 miles between now and the first of September. The second is to walk 100 miles in the next 30 days.
And I’d created a KILLER Challenge program to track everyones’ progress. Sigh.
Eric
I didn’t see the challenge.
I would be interested in walking. Let me know what’s up.
I won’t be in church Sunday, have to work.

Eric, I’m sorry your challenge didn’t work out as you’d hoped. It was an excellent idea to my way of thinking and only wish I were physically able to partake in it I have difficulty walking around the grocery store on my weekly trip. Recently purchased canes for both Lew and myself, but we find they don’t fit into our lifestyle. Sigh is right. Perhaps a walker is next. Anyway I’m glad your enthusiasm for walking is strong and truly hope it continues. There is nothing but good to come from it, and when you’re my age, you’ll be so thankful you did this.

I just signed up for the Susan G. Komen 3 day walk and will be training to walk 60 miles in 3 days this fall – so count me in as a fellow walker!

Eric….I’ll be honored to join your walking group….I’m already enrolled in a program 3 hrs a week, plus what Ray and I do on weekends. We do what’s called “geo-cache”-ing; it’s kind of like a scavenger hunt with a GPS. LOAD of fun, and you can find places in your own neighborhood that you would never otherwise know. Check it out:
