Ouch

Just a quick update everyone.

Went to the surgeon at 11:30 this morning.  He said the cyst is too hard to drain… not difficult hard, but rock hard.

So he removed it.  Took about 40 minutes to chisel it all away.  He said it was significantly larger than a golf ball.

Now I have a hole in my neck about 2 inches wide and 2 inches deep… or so he tells me.  Not stitched up.  Scott will have the joy of packing it every night for three weeks.

And now, I am off to bed.  I hurt.  Oh my goodness how this hurts.  I know, I know. I’m a wimp.  Always have been.

Will always be one!

  2. I know how bad it hurts! Been there. Even had to do the packing. Its ok to be wimpy once in a while. Keep ur chin up and know that it is gone.

  3. Lol… thank you guys. I was in Walgreens after the operation, waiting for my prescription to be filled. A lady was in there, bemoaning how bad she hurt. I looked at her and said “I know how you feel.” Her response was “Yes, I was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago.” I apologised and we had a very nice conversation… as is often the case she did more ministring to me than the other way around!
