I haven’t a lot to write about today.
After breakfast with the family, Scott and I set off for Basingstoke, following my cousin Molly and her sister Amy. There, after getting only a LITTLE lost, we said goodbye to our Vauxhall Meriva, faithful companion of the past week. We have driven over 1200 miles throughout all of England!
After this, we returned to Wherwell, and helped the family set up one of the big tents that we will use for the wedding reception tomorrow.
Once that was done, we retired to the White Lion, the only pub in town (an interesting aside – back in the little town of Avebury the only pub is The Red Lion – there must have been lots of different colored lions here!) Again, we sat and chatted through the afternoon, drinking ale, then diet coke, then lots of water!
After Bryan and the other family members came back from the wedding rehearsal we all set off for Stockbridge and the Rehearsal Dinner (which isn’t part of English wedding tradition… that’s imported from the USA, we were informed!)
It was a nice day!
