Wow. I’m stumped. I’ve been sitting here, looking at a blank screen for 10 minutes!
Yesterday, we spent a couple of hours at Scott’s folks. Our girls haven’t seen Gramma for a while, so we went over for a while. And, while there, Scott put in their new thermostat – one or another of the family has been promising to do that since we arrived in June, so we decided to just do it!
Later, we had to go back because for some reason the air conditioning is not kicking in, so the temp climbed rather high. We have to go back Monday, when the manufacturer of the thermostat is open so we can call their customer support line.
Later we all went to dinner at Cracker Barrel. The Pecan Crusted Grilled Catfish with brown rice pilaf was delicious. Who says you can’t eat healthy at Cracker Barrel?
This morning, I awoke to discover my own personal night-furnace was not working… Ixchel normally sleeps curled next to me, but had decided to move over to Scott’s side last night.
Our morning walk was quite refreshing. It was 64 and crisp. The sky was clear (first time in a week) with only puffs of cloud here and there. The pink sunrise provided a nice backdrop for the walk.
Today, we’re off to church, and then…
