Go Away Morning Chill

September 28, 2013

Yesterday, I attended a job fair at city hall. It was heavily weighted towards law enforcement. Dona Ana County Sheriff was there, as was fish & game. The Army was also represented. And there was a private security company.

I did manage to leave a few resumes, and talk with a couple of promising leads. I’ll see where those lead me.

Last night, we had 4 friends over for a wonderful evening. French Onion soup, Chunky Chicken salad on toasted french bread, stuffed cherry tomatos (cream cheese, olives). And a berry trifle for desert. Wine flowed perhaps a little too liberally, and the primary stock of the soup was a bottle of wine. We had a great deal of fun!

This morning, I got a surprise. Put on shorts and t-shirt and shoes, and set off for our morning walk. It was COLD outside! The temperature stood at 56, but the “Real Feel” was 48. We didn’t stay out too long.

In a bit, here, Scott and I are heading out to meet up with some friends to go hiking up in Soledad Canyon. But first, I think, a stop at McDonalds for a cup of coffee and an Egg McMuffin. Egg McMuffin’s are about the only thing we eat at the golden arches any more. Oh, and when we can find them, bacon, egg & cheese bagels. But they don’t serve those here in LCNM.

Prayer Intention

Prayer “is the root, the fountain, the mother of a thousand blessings.” Chrysostom

I continue to pray for Direction in life.
