Good morning all! As the headline says, yesterday was a peroxide day! I reported yesterday morning that on Saturday, Scott and I had gone on a hike. Well, while Scott and I were at church yesterday, Nikki & Ixchel got ahold of our day pack. In that was about 4 ounces of our trail mix. A trail mix which includes chocolate and raisins, both of which are toxic to dogs.
So, on the advice of our vet (thank heavens for vets who are childhood friends!) we had to force the girls to drink peroxide. This worked for Ixchel, who brought up large quantities of trail mix and other foods.
Nikki, however took a total of 2.5 times the recommended dose of peroxide and still never vomited. This morning, she did, however, poop about 5 times the quantity she normally does.
Now, we are on the way to the vet for blood tests.
And, Ixchel got a bath! Yay for pretty, nice smelling little girls!!!!!
