October Goals Posted

So, let’s see. I just checked out my walking log. One of the functions I created when I put it together was a projection of how many steps I need per day to meet my goal for the month.

Every month since I got here, I’ve been increasing my monthly goal by 500 steps per day. Now, in October, my goal is to walk 8000 steps per day. That’s an average of 4 miles. As of last night, I only have to walk 6000 steps a day for the rest of the month to end up with an average of 8000 steps a day. Not a chance!

Did you notice my new photo on my blog? I’ve temporarily changed from the travel trailer to a scenic shot that I took a month or so ago while hiking up in the Organs. Who knows, maybe I’ll make it permanent. Or I have the option of showing random pictures, and have four photos loaded. Maybe I’ll do that.

Daily Gratitude

My daily gratitude today is for the cousins on my Dad’s side of the family.

And this one is a big family! One cousin, M, provided so much support during the last years of Mom & Dads life. I honestly don’t know, sometimes, if I would have been able to cope as well as I did without her assistance.

And all of the cousins on this side of the family, as those on Mom’s side, have been so supportive of me.

It is why I said some days ago that it is so good to be part of such a loving family!

I don’t always think I’m all that worthy of the love and support I get from my family. So it amazes me that in spite of that doubt, love and support is just that I receive.

Prayer Intention

For this week’s quote, I paraphrase one I saw somewhere not long ago, but can no longer find:

“One can do much after first praying. One should do nothing before first praying.”

We carry on with our week’s them of “Caring”.

Care is helping others, being mindful of those in need.
