So, yesterday, Thursday, Scott and I worked on a bit of cleaning around the house, and then went to lunch with two neighbor ladies. We really had a fun time, and are looking forward to more lunches with them! And dinners! And we have a standing offer to come by for their nightly cocktail hour!
Daily Gratitude
Somewhere around 15 years ago, I met a man at church that has over the years become the closest friend I have, other than my husband. Tony (he gave me his permission to use his name the other day) has been a wonderful friend. And his partner, David, could not be a better person for Tony. Tony is really, really lucky!
Over the years, Tony and I have served on the church board together, and he was my assistant Treasurer during the time I was Treasurer.
We’ve travelled together, been to the Grand Canyon, and sight seeing in the Canadian Rockies up by Lake Louise and Banff.
All these have created very fond memories for me.
I hope, someday, he and David will find the time in their busy, busy schedule to come visit us here in our little corner of paradise!
Prayer Intention
For this week’s quote, I paraphrase one I saw somewhere not long ago, but can no longer find:
“One can do much after first praying. One should do nothing before first praying.”
We carry on with our week’s them of “Caring”.
Care is helping others, being mindful of those in need.
