Off to slow start today! Just felt really off when I got up. Girls only got half a walk today. Maybe later I’ll take them for another so as not to fall too far behind in my own walking!
Today, in New Mexico is momentous to many of us. The New Mexico Supreme Court heard arguments this morning on the constitutionality of Same Sex Marriages. They have indicated it may take weeks to hand down a decision. But I was struck by the number of times they asked the opponents of same sex marriage to provide statistics and other proof to their silly assertions. (Marriage should be between man and woman to protect procreation. Justices ask for empirical data on how raising children in same sex marriage is harmful to them. My response to original statement (to protect procreation is “What, same sex marriage will cause straight people to stop having sex???”)
There are other examples, but no point in reposting here! According to those in the courtroom, opponents didn’t have their act together. We’ll see how it all turns out!
