One Million

Steps/Miles walked Saturday 9,390 4.7
Steps/Miles walked 1,004,937 502.5

Wow! See that up there ^^^! Yesterday, I passed one million steps since arriving in Las Cruces! That’s more than 500 miles. I’m so thrilled! I’m well on the way for surpassing 2 million steps for all of 2013. What will 2014 bring? And what, I wonder should be my goal for 2014, in the way of walking? I’ll consider any suggestions (but make them realistic.)

Yesterday morning, nothing really struck my fancy for writing. It was a lazy morning. But then, yesterday afternoon Scott and I moved the furniture off our front porch and began scraping it to prepare for painting. After we finished that, we went to Mudder & Pops to pick up their power washer.

After washing off the deck, we took the washer back, then hung new street numbers for Mudder & Pop, as well as attempting to fix one of their smoke detectors that was beeping. Unfortunately, we have to replace it. No fixing!

In other news, I’ve referred to my desire to write a book. Well, I’ve signed up for the 2013 NaNoWriMo competition! The National Novel Writing Month. The goal is to write 50,000 words in 30 days. I’m kind of stoked to do this!

And that’s it for today’s post.

Daily Gratitude

Today is Sunday. And I am grateful today for that for which I have been grateful all month, and for most, if not all my life. And it should have been the very first thing listed at the beginning of the month. I’m grateful for my salvation through Jesus Christ.

Prayer Intention

“O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.” — Psalm 8:1

And, dipping into the prayer clays, I find that this week’s prayer intention is “the Sacred”.

Hmm. Here’s the description that goes with that: “Family Time, Wedding, Funeral, the various Sacraments, Christian Holy Days — The holy and sacred are found in the presence of God. Symbols, rituals and traditions are sacred when we meet God there. Moses, standing before God in the burning bush was told “the place on which you are standing is holy ground.” (Ex. 3:5)”

So, I’m not sure how to structure this as a prayer intention. I know! This is a test to see how many read this section. YOU give me some ideas. You can use the prayer intention form below.
