| Day 143 | 9,503 | 4.8 | |
| Total since June 24 | 1,200,866 | 600.4 |
Well, golly, would you look at that up there in the third line! Today, I surpassed 600 miles walked since arriving in Las Cruces, New Mexico, 143 days ago! That is about the same distance as walking from Las Cruces to San Antonio, Texas! I think that’s a pretty good benchmark!
Also, today, I surpassed 21,900 words in the NaNoWriMo competition/event. I just hope this streak keeps going for another 28000 words!
In other news, I have no other news! Last night’s walk did not result in further blisters, yeah! So, to honor the request of a fellow author (though a real one) and reader of my blog, here’s a map of the La Llorona Trail Stroll that we go on every Tuesday:
DAILY GRATITUDE
On Wednesday morning’s walk, I stopped in the middle of the intersection between us and the dog green, so that I could take in the view of the Organ Mountains. Most mornings, this view shows the mountains in stark silouette against the dawn-blue sky. Often times there are hints of rose and peach and gold in the colors. But this morning there was no silouette. The sky, from east to west and north to south was gray with clouds. The mountains were still clearly visible, but whisps of cloud, lighter than the gray cloud overhead, seemed to pour over the peaks, like milk over the rim of a clay bowl.
Today, I am grateful for that which I did not have yesterday, sunlight, bringer of light and warmth. Oh how I long for your rays, o sun!
PRAYER INTENTIONS
“For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.” — Jeremiah 29:11
Today, I picked a new tile, Beginnings & Completions.
How appropriate! This past week, the Strom Family marked a new Beginning! So, this coming week, I will be praying for this new beginning in our family, and invite all to join me in praying for Matthew Strom, my nephew Brad’s fourth child, born November 5th.
I’d like to add a prayer request for my brother, BBMO.
